Spin Galactic is a collection of ping-pong clubs throughout the US and Canada. We’ve built a very robust website controlled through a custom made CMS system that handles franchises, e-commerce, club memberships and more.

This site is built on a PHP/Mysql backbone and uses technologies like XML, Ajax, and jquery to coordinate it’s user base in the tens of thousands.

I created this screening room for the Broadway play Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark. It includes streaming video and css framework. I do many of these screening rooms for video games, television shows and movies as a way for advertisers to show trailers, coming attractions, and create buzz about the product. Video is one of the best ways to capture and keep an audience on the web. I create so many of these campaigns that it now takes me a couple of hours from start to finish!

I help maintain this site as a member of the development team. My contributions include home page special features, interactive quizzes, streaming video, episode synopsis, galleries, and other interactive features. I also regularly manage the advertising banners on this site.

About the show:

The world ended with no warning, and all that was left … was hope.

The Cylons were created by the people of the Twelve Colonies. Intelligent robots, they were used as slaves and soldiers to fight humanity’s wars. But the Cylons became sentient and they rebelled. Man and machine fought to a bloody stalemate, then the Cylons withdrew to a remote region of space.

A truce between the Twelve Colonies and the Cylons lasted for 40 tense and silent years. Each year, on the anniversary of the treaty-signing, humanity sent an envoy to the neutral ground of Armistice Station to meet with a Cylon envoy. For 39 years, no Cylon envoy came.

Then, on the 40th anniversary, a stunning blonde — a Cylon in human form — met the human envoy … moments before the Cylons vaporized the station and launched a genocidal attack on the Twelve Colonies.

In one devastating day, billions of human lives were consumed by nuclear fires. Only those souls fortunate enough to be aboard starships were able to band together and escape and flee into deep space, led by the sole surviving Colonial warship, the battlestar Galactica.

The Galactica and its crew seemed to be unlikely saviors for humanity’s fewer than 50,000 desperate survivors. The ship was old and had been about to be decommissioned and turned into a museum when the Cylon attack occurred. In the aftermath its commanding officer, William Adama, found himself responsible for safeguarding the last remnants of the human race.

Meanwhile, the annihilation of the Colonial government on Caprica resulted in the succession of Laura Roslin, the Secretary of Education, to the presidency. Driven by prophetic visions and political necessity, she set the fleet upon a quest that will take it into the farthest reaches of unexplored space … in search of the mythical, lost “13th colony” — Earth.

I created this screening room for thegame Mass Effect 2. It includes streaming video and css framework.This site also includes scrict age verification using PHP and Javascript and a few dynamic elements.

Tracking the page views, ad clicks, and sponsor click-throughs are essential for this kind of promotion. I accomplish this by intergrating a complex suite of dart tags, Omniture tracking, click trackers, redirection URLs, 1×1 javascript events, and CSS hidden layers.

Alice is a new take on an the old story of Alice in Wonderland. It is one of many Syfy TV show websites I’ve developed and maintain for NBC. I am the Lead developer for this website. The main technologies involved are HTML, CSS, PHP, XML, Flash, and Streaming video.

About the show:

Using the classic Lewis Carroll books Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass as a jumping off point, writer/director Nick Willing has created the modern-day story of Alice Hamilton (Caterina Scorsone), a fiercely independent twenty-something who suddenly finds herself on the other side of a looking glass. She is a stranger in an outlandish city of twisted towers and casinos built out of playing cards, all under the rule of the deliciously devilish Queen of Hearts (Oscar winner Kathy Bates) who’s not very happy about Alice’s arrival.

In the course of her adventure, Alice enlists the help of an array of characters including the resistance fighter Hatter (Andrew-Lee Potts), resistance leader Dodo (Tim Curry) and the White Knight (Matt Frewer).

Rounding out the stellar cast are Colm Meaney as the King of Hearts, Harry Dean Stanton as Caterpillar, Alessandro Juliani as 9 of Clubs, Timothy Webber as Carpenter, Alex Diakun as Ratcatcher, and Eugene Lipinski as Doctors Dee and Dum.

For this re-imagined adaptation, writer/director Nick Willing mines the bizarre ingenuity and twisted logic of Carroll’s work to create a daringly different, boldly colorful and delightfully skewed dreamscape of his own. Willing also directed the record-breaking, Emmy-winning miniseries Tin Man for Syfy in 2007. Serving as executive producers for this ambitious new event are Matthew O’Connor and Lisa Richardson from Reunion Pictures, Jamie Brown from Studio Eight and RHI Entertainment’s Robert Halmi Sr. and Robert Halmi Jr.
